Other News:*
Probably most exiting news here is Tim's (Boss of Bruised Knuckles and
editor-in-chief of Anti-Hippie Fanzine) trip to record studio few weeks
ago. After several of failed attempts to start a band, finally with help
from the right musicians, solo album was born. 12 songs were recorded
with out any previous practice, result was better than any of us could
expect. Project named
The Prestupniks which
is a mix of Cockney and Russian inspired by Clockwork Orange. The music
is not your regular Oi! at all, it's a mix between Old School HC, up
beat Street Punk, angry acoustic set with light touch of Black Metal's
blast.Songs are short, angry and raw with lyrics that slap you in the
face. At this stage artwork & layout for upcoming album is made.
After getting it done it will be released on Digipack with thick
booklet. Few songs are attached for you, the examples just to let you
know what to wait for.
* Some of our releases go to
history, leaving a legacy behind for generations to come. Street
Influence became a partner of ours, partner which helps their local
young sc

ene. In some parts of the world Oi!/Street Punk is just new born
and bands like Belorussian
Mister X
are one of the first that started playing what we call Street Punk.
Having one demo & album, Mister X is getting ready for their brand
new EP. In their local scene & near abroad Mister X is close to
somewhat of a cult status, a pioneer, a band with strong local fan base.
Music is somewhat street wise Oi! with loads of bollocks, energy of the
music is like a hit in your face. EP will be released in few months
once again as a co-release with our Russian friends. Check out:

* Our
Brazilian Street Punk compilation
project is finally getting the artwork ready. This LP will show true
friendship of underground, we took few labels along to get best possible
promotion. Most likely LP will be co-released with Zeroworks Records
and Can I say (Portugal), Subwix & Oi!Shop (Germany), these are the
labels that agreed to take part. Compilation holds of great bunch of
current local punk bands, leaving the extremely motivated bands behind.
Hard thing to do, but we refuse to give our support to brainwashing
bands. Before Xmas is planned release date.
* Aussie's lean & mean street rock machine,
RUST,
has done several UK shows this summer. Originally it was planned to
release a CD for tour support, but the sad reality is that sales
dropped, giving hard time to gather the budget. CD will hits the street
anyway, but slightly late.
* 7Th issue of notorious
Anti-Hippie Fanzine
is on it's way. All English zine will include strong modern day
acts, some columns, scene reports and tons of reviews. To have a CD
compilation with zine is somewhat usual, but this time instead of home
label printed CD r, zine will have proper factory made CD. Originally it
was meant to be a split issue with Negative Reaction from UK, but we
ended up doing a split CD. The CD is done, zine will follow shortly
after.
* We are here to show our support to our local acts. Young Street-Core band from the streets of Helsinki,
Open Finger is a Broken Finger,
has recorded their debut. That leaves us only with the matter of time
when it would hit the streets. You can check out few tunes here:
www.myspace.com/openfingerisabrokenfinger
* Bruised Knuckles still has in plans to release a split 7" between North-east England's
Keyside Strike (www.myspace.com/keysidehc)
and Sydney's Rust (www.myspace.com/rustpunk). The EP was expected
before Rebellion this year, but since cover artwork is late, our hands
are tight up.
* Our friends from
7er Jungs
work on the artwork for their EP that will be released by us. Material
on the EP will be some rare recordings that the band has made.
